First recipient of District 4 Home Beautification Award announced

The first recipient of the District 4 Home Beautification Award has been announced!

District 4 Councilmember Ken Remley launched an award program this month to recognize residents in his district who show pride in their home through renovation and maintenance activities.

The first recipients of the award are Jorge and Monica Cruz of 12844 W Greenway Road! From the perfectly maintained white picket fence, to the beautiful flowers and trees that grace the front lawn, pride of ownership is apparent!

Award winners receive a framed professional photo of their home, a certificate of appreciation and gift certificates to Home Depot and Moon Valley Nursery.

Councilmember Remley will be traveling around his district’s neighborhoods looking for the next home beautification success story! One winning home will be announced each month at his District 4 community meetings, held on the last Wednesday of the month, 6 p.m., at the Surprise Senior Center, 15832 N. Hollyhock Street.

The award presentations will take place at Surprise City Council Meetings. The Cruz family will receive their award at the June 6 Regular Meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. at Surprise City Hall.
