Fire Station 304
As Surprise continues to grow, so do public safety needs. Last month, Fire Station 304 held a groundbreaking ceremony. This new fire station will be located in the city’s northern region to replace the temporary facility which has been in use for approximately 17 years. Once completed, this station will be able to support the growth in the area.
Ottawa University is bringing Saturday night college football to our town! The OUAZ Spirit held their first home football game last month and the stands were packed with fans, parents and students. Council attended to show our support, not only for the team, but for the partnership we share with Ottawa University.
Stage Left Productions
During the month of October, Stage Left Productions will hold performances of The Diary of Anne Frank. This dramatic presentation brings to life eight people hiding from Nazis in an attic. Capturing the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence, their fear, their hope, their laughter and their grief, this performance will be one to go see. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at www.stageleftaz.com.
